COMMISSIONS FAQ
Pet Portrait Commissions
Pet portraits are a wonderful treat for yourself or an unforgettable gift for your loved ones! I love illustrating animals of all shapes and sizes, and would be honored to depict your treasured companions. ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
WHAT DO PET PORTRAITS INCLUDE?
Each pet comes fully rendered, with shading, highlights, and textures created using digital watercolor and pencil brushes
Each portrait also includes a fully rendered background featuring your animal friends frolicking in a little floating island. Decorative elements like flowers, foliage, sparkles, rainbows, stars, clouds, hearts, and a moon/sun can be included free of charge!
I’ll use my best judgement adding these elements into your portrait if unspecified, but please let me know if you have particular decorations from this list that you’d like included
If your pet has passed away, I'd be happy to add wings and/or a halo
Watercolor gradients and a grid background are included behind the main illustration
Name banners for all pets are included, though are of course optional.
Portraits also include an emailed high-resolution JPEG.
HOW MUCH DO PET PORTRAITS COST?
1 Pet = $95
2 Pets = $175
3 Pets = $200
Add-Ons:
+$5 for a print shipped to you! These prints are 8.5 x 11" on high quality glossy photo paper and are easy to frame for your home. The package also includes my business card and a free sticker! (International shipping is also available for +$15 instead of 5)

Additional charges can be added for the order to be completed in 1 or 2 days.
DO YOU ONLY DRAW CATS AND DOGS?
Nope, I'll draw any pet! Here are some examples of pets I've drawn outside of cats and dogs:
WHAT DOES THE COMMISSION PROCESS LOOK LIKE?
You fill out and submit a form for my pet portrait inquiries, which can be found linked at the bottom of this page
I email you a follow-up and approve your commission
You send full payment to my Venmo or Paypal
You respond to my email with a compressed folder of your reference images
I update you with a sketch of your commission. I’m happy to make any changes or adjustments you’d like at this stage. When you’re satisfied, I’ll continue with the artwork until it’s completed.
I email you the finished artwork! I’m happy to make small adjustments here, like color corrections.
If you ordered a print, I’ll create the print and ship it to you ☆
Please note that I'm no longer conducting commissions through social media DMs, if you have any any questions I'm happy to answer them via my email (´・ω・`)
WHAT SHOULD MY REFERENCE PHOTOS LOOK LIKE?
Over time I've noticed that the best portrait commissions are usually the ones that provide the best reference pictures. To send your pictures, simply drag them into the email box in our thread.
When choosing reference photos to send, varying angles of your pet are a great way for me to get a sense of their features. Showing them smiling, the side of their body, them sitting--there are a lot of options! Keep in mind that downward angles, such as your pet looking up at you from the floor, are good for showing their face but don't show much of their body. Head-on angles are the best!
If you're looking for an example of good poses to reference, simply look at how the pets in my completed portraits are positioned (^▽^)
